Wedding Interpretation

I just spent the last week and a half with two extra children in my home. I was watching them for another family who attends the same preschool that Isaac goes to. The little girl is 4 and her brother is almost 5 months. I have learned from this experience and others how important it is to enjoy the little moments you have with children. In the car yesterday we were talking about the little girl's parents and where they were going on vacation at the end of the week. She said that she thought her parents were "going to get married" and to "kiss". Isaac asked her if her mom was going to wear a dress and her dad was going to wear a suit. The two of them carried on a conversation in the back seat all about weddings and the current knowledge they had in respect to this topic. It was hilarious to hear what they already know about getting married and the "important" parts of a wedding. I was amazed to hear them and it fascinated me to listen in while their brains were working. It is these little moments in life that are so enjoyable and help you to forget that half an hour ago you wanted to declare the rest of the day quiet time. Later I found out from the mom that they had just celebrated their 14 year wedding anniversary on their last mini-vacation. She also thought it was pretty funny to hear the wedding interpretation of a three and four year old.

Amy- Love the reflections of the conversation. I have had some time off work and have loved hearing Ryan's thoughts on the world as well. Thanks for sending me this link for your blog- it is great to hear what is going on with the Kratt family. We all tend to be so busy these days.

I am very excited to tell you congratulations! I see from the site that your family is expanding - we are very happy for you and we'd love to see you sometime!
Love,
Sarah K
